These mushrooms are available for a much longer season than those
found in the mid west, because they can be hunted and delivered to you, forest fresh, from the humid and higher elevations
of the rich plush forests in the North West with an extended spring harvest season.
Availability is critical on these hearty, high demand delectable earthy delights.
These meaty morels arrive early (usually in April); and the skilled hunters from Northern California,
Washington and Oregon area are able to harvest these morels longer (into July most years)
as the spring thaw goes into the higher elevations of the humid green mountain forests of the North West. I particularly
favor the grays of the higher altitudes of the mountains with less insects, harvested late in the spring or even mid-summer,
and sometimes, as was the case in 2007, nearly into August.

They can be shipped via Federal Express in quantities of 3 (three) pounds or more.
